Electronics Soldering Iron
Among the different types of soldering irons available in the market, the electric soldering irons are the most popular. Running on electricity, these irons come in a variety of designs and specifications. They can perform jobs of all sorts from small circuit work to heavy electrical work.
An electrical soldering iron has a common temperature range of about 700-850°F. This permits it to perform a wide spectrum of work. The body of the iron is made of thermoplastic and the tip is often nickel-plated metal, usually copper. The tip can be in the form of a chisel for working on flat, large surfaces or a conical tip for detailed work.
Most electrical irons come with interchangeable tips for doing different tasks. The conical tip is mostly used for work related to electronics like circuit boards and such. This particular iron is therefore also called an electronics soldering iron.
Some electric irons come with temperature regulators which can be set to any desired temperature. This minimizes the risk of destroying any object with an extra hot soldering iron.
Brands like Weller and Hexacon are famous for their electric soldering irons. These irons are quality products and can be used without any danger to people or objects.
